Portrait Painting

Weeks 2 & 3
A popular and long established course
which encourages participants to aim for a good
‘likeness’, combined with a dynamic, individual
approach. You will work directly from several models and
set ups throughout the week using oil paints or acrylics
and this course will
•
help you to
produce lively and engaged portraits
•
encourage you to experiment with mixed media to
explore paint handling and composition
•
give
you a better understanding of the anatomy of the
hands and the head.
